Shin was born when Dana was 16. Dana's parents gave her an ultimatum to either abort him or give him up to Yamada to raise. Following the latter, Shin and Yamada were alone until Shin was 5. Despite this, he's still very close to his siblings and protective of his entire family.
He met Lyla when he was six and the two had been friends before they married. “Trees”, Shin's short story, will entail how their relationship developed and how Shin came to be in the military. Tends to be a lot more straight and arrow than his brothers, not drinking often and having never smoked. Does have tattoos: a rose on his upper bicep on his right arm and his children and wife's name on his back.
